How to play games on Pokii Games

This is the playbook for the 27 games on this site. They are HTML5 games: the code runs in your browser, not in a store app. If you can load this page, you can load a game — subject to a current browser and a decent connection for the first load.

1. Start a game

From the homepage or the catalog, click a thumbnail. That opens the game’s page. The player shows a still image until you click to play. We do that so twenty games are not all booting at once in the background.

After the player starts, wait a moment on heavier titles (3D runners, physics tanks). A blank canvas for a second is loading, not a broken game. If nothing happens after a long wait, refresh once and try another browser.

2. Controls

Every game page has a Controls section written for that title. Common patterns:

  • Tap / click: knife throws, crane drops, tile puzzles, color-sort pours.
  • Drag: aim a puck, slingshot a ping-pong ball, draw an airplane path, pull a penalty.
  • Keyboard: WASD plus mouse in Undead Siege; arrows for Ridge Rally; Space for bowling steps.
  • Two players on one device: Court Clash 2P and Bunker Duel hotseat.

If a game feels “broken” on a phone, it often wants a swipe on a specific half of the screen (movement on the left, aim on the right). Read that game’s page before assuming the build failed.

3. Fullscreen and sound

Use the player’s fullscreen control when you want the game to fill the screen. Portrait games (bowling, many puzzles, runners) are designed for a tall phone; landscape games (tennis, air traffic, snake arena) want width. Rotate the device if the playfield looks letterboxed.

Most games have their own mute inside the iframe. The site does not force sound on. If a game auto-plays music, use that inner mute — a browser gesture (the click-to-play) is what allows audio in the first place.

4. Progress and privacy

High scores, unlocked levels, and some cosmetics save in your browser storage. They are not synced to an Pokii Games account because there is no account. Clearing site data, switching devices, or using private mode will look like a new player. That is expected.

We do not need your name to let you play. Analytics and ads, when enabled, are described in the privacy policy and cookie policy.

5. If a game will not load

  • Try a current Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari. Very old browsers skip WebGL or WASM.
  • Disable strict blockers for this site if the iframe is stripped.
  • Check you are not on the maintenance banner at the top of the homepage.
  • Still stuck? Email us from the contact page with the game name and the device you used.

6. What “good” looks like on this site

A useful session is: you understood the fail state, you retried once with a cleaner habit, and you could explain the game to someone else in a sentence. If you cannot, the game page’s How to play section is the missing paragraph — not a YouTube recap. We write those sections because Google’s publisher rules treat a bare embed as low-value inventory.

Original notes that go beyond a single title live under Guides: hosting choices, a first-five order, phone vs keyboard, two-player on one device, where saves live, a puzzle path, and sports scoring. Those pages are commentary on this catalog, not copied text from another arcade.
