Coil Arena
Grow a snake on a hex field, eat stars, swallow smaller snakes, and stay off bigger bodies before the timer ends.

About Coil Arena
Coil Arena is a landscape arena snake game — steer a glossy cyan snake across a dark hex field, swallow stars, and grow before the clock runs out.
Hold Dash to burn mana and surge past rivals. Eat smaller snakes for bonus points, but one hit on a bigger body ends the run.
Switch Mobile or Desktop controls from the menu, chase a best score saved in your browser, and grab gold time-bonus stars to stay in the fight.
Coil Arena is a landscape snake on a hex field. Eat stars to grow, dash with mana, swallow smaller snakes, and avoid bigger bodies. A timer runs the round.
Gold time-bonus stars keep you in the fight. Mobile and Desktop control schemes are in the menu. Best score saves in the browser.
What you do in Coil Arena
Objective. Grow a snake on a hex field, eat stars, swallow smaller snakes, and stay off bigger bodies before the timer ends.
Steer, hold dash to burn mana, hunt gold time-bonus stars when the clock is low. Mobile or Desktop presets sit in the menu.
Looks like an IO crowd. Those snakes are not your roommate. Best score saves locally.
How to play Coil Arena
Steer with the mouse on desktop (hold click or Space/Shift to dash) or with the left stick and DASH on mobile. Eat stars, pick on smaller snakes, stay off larger ones.
Dash is a mana spend for escapes and last-second star grabs. Empty mana in the open is how you eat a wall of someone else’s body.
When the timer is low, hunt gold time stars before you hunt a risky swallow.
Controls
Desktop: mouse to steer, hold click or Space/Shift to dash. Mobile: left stick to steer, hold DASH to boost. Eat stars to grow, swallow smaller snakes, avoid bigger ones, and beat the timer.
Mouse steer, hold click or Space/Shift to dash.
On a phone or tablet: Left stick steer, hold DASH. Landscape.
What makes Coil Arena different
- Hex-field snake with a mana dash
- Gold stars extend the clock
- Score chase, not couch multiplayer
Tips
- Grow with safe stars before you pick fights. A tiny snake that dashes into a giant is free food for them.
- Cut across hex lines; do not follow another snake’s tail hoping it is safe.
- Save dash for when a bigger body turns toward you, not for cruising.
- Switch the control preset if the default feels wrong. The menu exists for that.
Strategy
- Gold stars extend the clock. Eat them when the timer is low, not when you are already huge.
- Dash burns mana. Save it to escape a larger body, not to show off through empty hexes.
- Other snakes are AI. This is not couch multiplayer.
Difficulty and devices
Difficulty. Medium
Best suited device. Landscape desktop mouse; phone stick is a fallback
Mobile. Left stick steer, hold DASH. Landscape.
Desktop. Mouse steer, hold click or Space/Shift to dash.
Who should play
IO-snake and arena players who want a single-session score chase. Landscape layout wants a wider screen than a portrait puzzle.

FAQ
How do I dash in Coil Arena?
On desktop hold click or Space/Shift. On mobile hold DASH. Dashing spends mana.
Can I eat other snakes?
Yes, if they are smaller. Hitting a bigger body ends your run. Stars grow you; gold stars add time.
Guides that mention this game
- A sensible order through the Pokii action shelf — Speed Boat, Cannon Attack, Knife Hit, Crane Stack, Cross Runner, Undead Siege, and Coil Arena use different verbs. This is the order we would give someone who tapped Action and froze.
