About Hue Vials

Hue Vials is a relaxing tube-pouring puzzle — sort every color into its own glass without making a mess.

Tap a tube to pick it up, then tap another to pour. You can only pour a color onto the same color, or into an empty tube. Clear all 40 handcrafted levels.

Stuck? Undo a move, restart the level, or add an extra empty tube. Your level progress saves in the browser.

Hue Vials is a 40-level color-sort. Pour a tube only onto the same color or into an empty tube. The board is won when every color sits in its own glass.

Undo, restart, and an extra empty tube are there for stuck boards. Progress saves in the browser so you can stop after a hard pour and resume later.

What you do in Hue Vials

Objective. Pour until every color sits in its own tube. Forty handcrafted levels. Progress saves in this browser.

Tap a tube, tap another. Pour only onto the same color or into an empty glass. Undo, restart, or add an extra empty tube.

Empty tubes are working memory. Using both empties early is the usual deadlock. Home opens the level list.

How to play Hue Vials

Tap a tube to lift it, tap another to pour. If the top colors do not match and the destination is not empty, the pour is rejected. Empty tubes are the buffer you use to unstick a stack.

Work toward completing one color at a time, but do not dump a mixed tube into a nearly finished glass. You will have to undo the whole chain.

Home opens the level list. Use + only when the puzzle is actually dead, not as a first habit.

Controls

Tap a tube to select it, then tap another tube to pour. Use Undo, Restart, or + to add an empty tube. Home opens the level list.

Click tubes. Same legal-pour rule.

On a phone or tablet: Tap-to-pour. Native portrait.

What makes Hue Vials different

  • Forty finite boards, not an infinite live-ops treadmill
  • Undo versus + empty tube are different tools
  • The pour rule is the whole game

Tips

  • Never pour into a tube that has only one free slot unless the incoming stack is a single unit you can finish later.
  • Keep at least one empty tube until the last colors. Using both empties early is the usual deadlock.
  • Undo is cheaper than restart if you noticed the mistake within two pours.
  • Scan for a color that already has three of four units together — finishing that tube opens space.

Strategy

  • Empty tubes are working memory. Using both empties in the first pours is the usual deadlock.
  • Undo is for a bad pour. The extra empty tube is for a board that needs more space.
  • One level, then stop, is a valid session. Forty boards do not have to happen in one sitting.
